Our Upper Providence Candidates

Chuck-3.jpg

Chuck Ferraro - 2nd District Township Council

A 16-year resident of the 2nd District in Upper Providence, Chuck Ferraro is running for office to get UPT back on the right track. Chuck, a 32 year employee of the Postal Service, whose daily route encompassed much of the 2nd District, is a member of the Nativity BVM Parish and a former volunteer CYO and swim coach in Collingdale and Aldan.

He and his wife Donna, who is a volunteer at the Rose Tree Fire Company, have been married for almost 50 years and are community pillars. Chuck and Donna are grandparents to 4 grandchildren that love visiting Upper Providence Township.

Chuck is running on a platform of fiscal responsibility, something we all see as critically important as the current Council continues to raise our taxes and fees with nothing to show for it. Chuck promises that he will put forth every effort to use your hard earned tax dollars wisely and efficiently, to be 100% transparent, and to keep Upper Providence a great place to live and raise your family.

Allaire-2.jpg

Allaire Moran - 4th District Township Council

Allaire Moran graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors in Political Science. She’s spent her professional life working in data analytics, logistics coordination and small business management; all of which have put to use her drive for efficiency and practicality, traits she will bring to township leadership.

Allaire is passionate about civic engagement. Currently the committee woman for Upper Providence District 4 and serving as election board minority inspector, Allaire believes in the importance of citizens expressing their opinions and their right to be heard by leadership. She believes that two heads are better than one but an entire community is even better.

A graduate of the Ann Anstine Excellence in Public Service Leadership Series, Allaire has put her knowledge to use by helping local candidates develop plans for good governance and constantly looks for opportunities to remove waste and inefficiency in our political structures.

In her free time, Allaire teaches Sunday School to 6th graders at St. Colman's Church in Ardmore, volunteers at The Saturday Club, a women's organization focused on helping charities serving women and children in need and is the Flotilla Commander of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for Penn's Landing.

Allaire Moran is committed to serving our neighbors in Upper Providence and will fight to keep our taxes low without sacrificing service. We’ll be in good hands with Moran!

Dave is the current Vice-Chair of the Upper Providence Township Sewer Authority and served 12 years on the Upper Providence Township Zoning Hearing Board, the last 6 as    Chair. He also participated and attended every meeting of the Third Street Bridge Community Advisory Commission.

In Dave's own words: "I believe my experience makes me the most qualified candidate for the position. I’ve dedicated my entire career to serving locally by serving on Township Boards and as an attorney here in Media serving local residents and small businesses while taking time to serve the disadvantaged and give back to the community. My experience and background will allow me, as your District Justice, to make the tough decisions needed to protect our community while ensuring all who come before me are treated fairly and with respect."

The Upper Providence Township Republican Party proudly endorses Dave Daniel for the position of District Judge for Upper Providence District Court 32-2-46.

About endorsed candidates

The Upper Providence Republican Party will endorse candidates for local office, particularly Upper Providence Council, during the Local and Judicial election cycles. You can find those candidates above in those election years (odd years).

Sometimes we may endorse candidates for other local elections (County-wide) or some statewide elections. If so, those candidates will also be above along with our rationale.

More regularly, the UPT GOP will send out an email before elections with a list of candidates on the ballot, what their platform is and other important notes (without a formal endorsement). If you're interested in receiving that email with a detailed list of candidates in primary and general elections, please sign up for our mailing list.
